Ford GT40 J9
The J-Series car was the first to use a honeycomb aluminum tub, in an effort to increase chassis stiffness and strength but with reduced weight. The tub only weighs 86 lbs. This car, originally built for the Can Am series was ran with an ALL ALUMINUM Boss 429 engine and a 2-speed. It was recently converted back to MkIV specs.
We're getting it ready for the Goodwood festival, new axles, wheel bearings, clutch, race prep, and chassis setup. Very exciting project, a very original restoration, with an incredible sounding 600 HP 427!
